Handmade High Waist Palazzo Quilt  Pants- 60s Checkered Basket

These pants are made from a vintage quilt. When it was found, one entire side was torn and stained, so why no use the good parts to make pants :) There is a light cotton layer of batting between the front and back, so I would say this is a light to medium weight quilt. This piece is hand stitched on the basket areas and machine stitched for the batting layers and judging by the style and fabric, I would say this is from the 1960s-1960s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes

Color Scheme: Maroon and pink, with multicolored basket accents

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1960s-1970s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say all cotton or a cotton blend

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, no holes (they had been patched), the elastic is new and super stretchy, please note there is some areas of light discoloration that add the the lovliness of the piece

Waist: stretches 24 inches to 33 inches around

Rise: 15.25  inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 26.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 50 inches around

Thigh: 30 inches around

Total Length: 39 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 18.5 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
