Handmade High Waist Lined Quilt Topper Shorts-Ultra Rare 1910s Dyed Indigo Flour Sack and Calico 9 Block

These shorts are made from an antique quilt topper that I have lined in 100% Cotton.  There is no batting between the two layers, so I would say this a very light weight quilt. Judging by the fabric and style, I would say this is from the 1910s, possibly older, this as actually set onto a hand tied quilt that had just wool and maybe horsehair, but I removed this topper. This short features a high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes.

Color Scheme: White, indigos, tans, ocher with tan bias tape

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1910s, but possibly older, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton, and I believe the blue areas are dyed indigo flour sacks and the other pieces are an assortment of calico and woven fabrics

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted, Please note, white this has been hand-washed, there still may be some areas of discolorations

Waist: stretches 24 inches to 39 inches around

Rise:    15.5 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam:  2.25 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 46 inches around

Thigh: 30 inches around

Total Length: 16 inches from top to bottom
