Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Rare 1940s Grandmother's Flower Garden

These pants are made from a vintage Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt When it was found, it was covered in tears, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is a light batting between the two layers, but I would say this a light  weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, style, and that it is all hand stitched, I would say this is from the 1930s-1940s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg, high waist and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes

Color Scheme: Ivory with multicolored hexagon accents

Approx Age: Quilt is probably 1930s-1940s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton, very soft cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted, please note, while I have hand washed this there is some light discolorations especially around the bottom that add to the loveliness of the piece

Waist: stretches from 25 inches to 34 inches around

Rise: 12.75 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 24.25 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 49 inches around

Thigh: 29 inches around

Total Length: 37 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 16.75 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
