Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants- Ultra Rare 1910s Silk and Flour Sack Patchwork Fan

These pants are made from an antique patchwork fan quilt. There is light cotton batting between the two layers, but I would say this a light to medium weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, hand stitching and embroidery, and style, I would say this is from the  1910s-1920s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :)

Color Scheme: multicolored, with rust, black, white, blues, browns and assortment of colors and patterns

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1910s-1920s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its mostly silk set onto flour sacks with a light cotton lining

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes  noted, please note, this silk was oldddddd so when this quilt was washed, several silk areas wore down, so I cut out the wear areas, you can see the flour sack material underneath, and one areas has a decal that says "ISLAND", this has been hand washed

Waist: stretches from 24 inches to 40 inches around

Rise:  15 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 20 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 50 inches around

Thigh: 32 inches around

Total Length:  33.5 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width:  20 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
