Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Ultra Rare 1930s Flour Sack 5 Block Window Pane with Lace Trim

These pants are made from a vintage  5 Block Window Pane Quilt that I have added a piece of lace trim to, probably from the early 1900s.  I would say this a light weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, style, and that it is all hand stitched, I would say this is from the 1930s-1940s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :).

Color Scheme: white, yellows, multicolored and multi patterned accents

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1930s-1940s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say this is all cotton and I believe it’s ll flour sack fabric

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted ( there are several surface where spots, I have repaired the seam separations, see photos) please note while this has been hand- washed, there still may be a few areas of light discolorations that add to the loveliness of the pieces

Waist: stretches from 22 inches to 40 inches around

Rise: 16 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 23.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 46 inches around

Thigh: 30 inches around

Total Length: 38 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 16 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
