Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants- Ultra Rare 1920s Silk Crazy Quilt

These pants are made from a vintage silk crazy quilt. I would say this a  medium weight fabric. Judging by the fabric, style, and hand stitching, I would say this is from the 1920s-1930s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :)

Color Scheme: a moody rainbow assortment of colors and patterns

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1920s-1930s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say it is mostly silk, there may be a couple cotton pieces here and there 

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes or stains noted, there are a couple areas where the silk had shattered, I cut those pieces off, but it was set onto vintage flour sacks so those beautiful pieces are showing In a couple areas. This has been hand-washed

Waist: stretches from 24 inches to 42 inches around

Rise: 15.25 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 21  inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 54 inches around

Thigh: 32 inches around

Total Length: 34.5 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width:  19.5 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
