Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Ultra Rare 1940s Flour Sack Grandmother’s Flower Garden

These pants are made from a vintage Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt. I would say this a light to medium weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, all hand stitching , and style, I would say this is from the 1940s-1950s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :).

Color Scheme: White,  with multicolored and multi-patterned and multi-colored hand stitched accents

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1940s-1950s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say it’s all cotton, and has lots of areas of vintage flour sack fabric

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted, please note, while this has been hand-washed, there still may be some areas of light discoloration that add to the lovliness of the piece 

Waist: stretches from 23 inches to 42 inches around

Rise:  16 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 21 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 54 inches around

Thigh: 33 inches around

Total Length: 35.5 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 18 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
