Handmade High Waist Ruffled Pantaloon Pants- Rare 1970s White Silk

These pants are made from a vintage silk fabric. I would say this is a Very light weight fabric. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, full ruffle trim, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :).

Color Scheme: White

Approx Age: This fabric is from the 1970s, I acquired it years ago from an artist who imported this fabric in the 70s, I've since lost the import tag, but it did say Made in India 1974, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but definitely silk

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes or stains noted. This has been hand-washed.please note there was one small imperfection, well, a perfect imperfection in the silk is that my friend, who is an expert in working in silk like literally hand rebuilt an antique silk kimono, has repaired with an old technique with a piece of the original fabric and hand stitched the 3 small holes with silk thread, see last photos 

Waist: stretches from 24 inches to 48 inches around

Rise:   16.75 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 24.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 66 inches around

Thigh: 40 inches around

Total Length:  38 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width:   29 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
