Handmade Petticoat Skirt-Ultra Rare 1910s Flour Sack and Calico Shoo Fly Quilt Topper
Handmade Petticoat Skirt-Ultra Rare 1910s Flour Sack and Calico Shoo Fly Quilt Topper
This is a new style that I'm going to be offering :) This skirt is inspired by Victorian petticoats that I have ALWAYS been obsessed with
This skirt is made from an antique shoo fly quilt Topper. As this is a quilt topper there is no no batting or back piece, I would say this is a very light weight quilt. Judging by the fabric and style, I would say this is from the 1910s-1920s. This skirt is cut in an A-Line pattern and features a full ruffle trim and elastic waistband to fit a variety of sizes.
Color Scheme: yellow, lilac, and white with multicolored and multi-patterned accents
Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1910s-1920s, handmade recently
Fabric: no tags, but I would say its cotton, I believe the body is all flour sacks and the ruffle trim that was also the trim of the quilt topper appears to be hand-black printed or calico
Condition: Very Good wearable condition, no holes or stains noted, the elastic is new and super stretchy, please note while this has been hand-washed, there still may be some areas of light discolorations that add to the lovliness of the piece
Waist: stretches from 22 inches to 40 inches around
Hips: up to 52 inches around
Total Length: 31 inches from top to bottom
