Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants- Ultra Rare 1930s Checkered Silk 

These pants are made from a vintage Silk Checkered Quilt. I would say this is a light weight quilt as it is the front and lining, with no batting between the layers.  Based on the fabric, feathered embroidery and style, I would say this is from the 1930s-1940s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :)

Color Scheme: marigold, mustard, white, lavender with a few blue and tan pieces 

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1930s-1940s,  handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say the outer is mostly silk, with a few areas of eyelet cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes or stains noted (there is some light bleeding in those few blue areas that are mostly on the inside lining, this has been hand-washed

Waist: stretches from 22 inches to 42 inches around

Rise: 15 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 21.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 52 inches around

Thigh: 34 inches around

Total Length: 36 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 21 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
