Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-1980s Sunshine Pinwheel

These pants are made from a vintage Checkered quilt. When it was found, it had lots of tears and seam separations, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is a batting between the two layers, but I would say this a light weight quilt. Judging by the fabric style, and that it is all hand-stitched, I would say this is from the 1940s-1950s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, inseam pockets and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes.

Color Scheme: Ivory, Blues, Pinks, Reds, Greys, Browns

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1940s-1950s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted, please note, while I have hand washed this, there's still a few areas of staining and discolorations to add to the lovliness of the piece

Waist: stretches from 26 inches to 36 inches around

Rise:  15.75 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam:26 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 52 inches around

Thigh: 31 inches around

Total Length: 41.5 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 17.5 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
