Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Ultra Rare 1920s Flour Sack Crown of Thorns

These pants are made from an antique/vintage Crown of Thorns quilt, I have added a trim to this as well, from scraps from pattern cutting to give this more of a full leg.  I would say this a light weight quilt. Judging from the fabric, style, and all hand stitching, I would say this is from the 1920s-1930s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :)

Color Scheme: orange, green, white, red

Approx Age: 1920s-1930s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say this is all cotton flour sack material

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted, but there are a few wear spots on the outer layer. Please note, while this has been hand washed, there are still some areas of light discoloration that had to the loveliness of the piece

Waist: stretches from 24 inches to 48 inches around

Rise: 16 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 26 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 60 inches around

Thigh: 40 inches around

Total Length: 40 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 24.5 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
