Handmade Super High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Rare 1930s Butterfly

These pants are made from a vintage butterfly applique quilt. When it was found, it was covered in tears, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is a light batting between the two layers, so I would say this a light  weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, style, and that it is all hand stitched, I would say this is from the 1930s-1940s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes

Color Scheme: White and Butter yellow, with multicolored butterfly accents

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1930s-1940s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, on this pant in particular, I took about 2 hours mending all the holes and butterfly applique believe I have got all the holes and there is no staining noted

Waist: stretches from 24 inches to 30 inches around

Rise: 14.5 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 27 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 46 inches around

Thigh: 28 inches around

Total Length: 40.5 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 17 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
