Handmade Super High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-  Rare 40s Friendship Quilt

These pants are made from a vintage quilt. When this quilt was found, on one side there was an entire area that was torn, and so why not pants :) There is some light batting between the layers, so I would say this is a light to medium weight quilt.  It is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg and elastic waistband to fit a variety of sizes. There are 36 hand embroidered names on this piece and some of then include: Elvis "Cowboy" Jones, Delmer Haldron, Alta Eubanks, Clars Taylor, Rosser Cruse, Walls Balzer, Bertha Childress, Vera Smithers, and so many other amazing Victorian names

Color Scheme: Ivory, Pink, and Lavender, with multicolored checkered accents and hand embroidery

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1940s-1950s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton, like antique feedsack material

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, no holes, the elastic is new and super stretchy, please note it has some discoloration and a few spots that add to the lovliness of the piece

Waist: stretches 26 inches to 36 inches around

Rise: 15.5 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 27 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 54 inches around

Thigh: 32 inches around

Total Length: 40 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width:  20 inches across from side to side, measured at the hem
