Handmade High Waist Lined Quilt Topper Ruffle Pantaloon Pants- Ultra Rare 1940s Rainbow Postage Stamp

These pants are made from a vintage postage stamp quilt topper that I have lined with 100% Cotton Fabric. There is no batting between the two layers, sp I would say this a very light weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, hand stitching, and style, I would say this is from the  1940s, there is some old indigo calico fabric and silk towards the ends, so its possibly this was started even earlier that that . This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a full ruffle trim, wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :)

Color Scheme: a beautiful rainbow assortment of colors and patterns

Approx Age: This quilt topper was probably finished in the 1940s but I would say judging by some of the fabric it was maybe started in the 1920s-1930s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would most of it is cotton with flour sack and calico pieces, a few silk pieces scattered about as well, it is lined in 100% Cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes  noted (there were a few surface holes and wear that I have repaired) no stains noted this has been hand- washed

Waist: stretches from 22 inches to 38 inches around

Rise: 15.5 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 15.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 48 inches around

Thigh: 31 inches around

Total Length: 31 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 20.5  inches across from side to side measured at the hem
