Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants- 1950s 9 Block and Basket

These pants are made from a vintage 9 block quilt with basket accents. When it was found, it was covered in tears, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is a batting between the two layers, but I would say this a medium weight quilt. Judging by the fabric and style I would say this is from the 1950s-1960s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility.

Color Scheme: a soft rainbow of coloring

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1950s-1960s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted, this has been hand-washed but there may be a couple of spots that add to the lovliness of the piece

Waist: stretches from 24 inches to 35 inches around

Rise: 14.5 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 24 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 44 inches around

Thigh: 26  inches around

Total Length: 39 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 15.5 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
