Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants- 1980s Patchwork with Diamond Trim

These pants are made from a vintage checkered quilt with a diamond trim. When it was found, it one whole side was missing, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is  batting between the two layers, but I would say this a medium weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, style, and that it is all hand stitched, I would say this is from the 1980s-1990s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg, high waist and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes

Color Scheme: White, with multicolored soft palate colored accents

Approx Age: Quilt is probably 1950s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton, very soft cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes or stains noted 

Waist: stretches from 30 inches to 39 inches around

Rise: 16.75 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 26 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 56 inches around

Thigh: 34 inches around

Total Length: 42 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 20.5 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
