These pants are made from a vintage crazy quilt. When it was found, it was covered in tears, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is a batting between the two layers, but I would say this a medium weight quilt. Judging by the fabric(particularly the calico pieces) and style I would say this is from the 1940s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility

Color Scheme: a beautiful soft multicolored 

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1940, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its mostly cotton, there may be some silk pieces

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted, this has been hand-washed but there may be a couple of spots that add to the lovliness of the piece

Waist: stretches from 26 inches to 35 inches around

Rise: 15 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 24inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 47 inches around

Thigh: 27 inches around

Total Length: 39 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 16 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
