Handmade Super High Waist Quilt Shorts-Rare 60s Grandmother’s Flower Garden

These shorts are made from a vintage quilt. When it was found, it was covered in stains and tears, so why not use the good parts for shorts:). There is some light bathing, so I would say this a is light quilt Judging by the fabric, style, and that the entire quilt is hand stitched, I would say this is from the 1960s. I have shortened my palazzo pant pattern, and it kind of gives it a 1950s boxer short look

Color Scheme: all the patchwork colors of the rainbow

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1960s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton on the outer, and the lining is possibly cotton or a cotton blend

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, no holes (they’ve been patched) or stains noted, the elastic is new and super stretchy

Waist: stretches 26 inches to 36 inches around

Rise: 14.5 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 3.75 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 50 inches around

Thigh: 30 inches around

Total Length: 18 inches from top to bottom
