Handmade Quit Topper Skirt- 40s Cowboy Mickey, Goofy, and Donald Monkey Wrench Pattern
Handmade Quit Topper Skirt- 40s Cowboy Mickey, Goofy, and Donald Monkey Wrench Pattern
This skirt is made from a vintage quilt topper. When it has found, the entire side had separations and staining, so why not use the good parts to make a skirt :) The Quilt Topper is all hand stitched, and I fell down a rabbit hole on the Mickey fabric and found that Mickey didn't gain eyebrows until the 1950s, so I'm going to date this quilt topper at the 1940s-1950s. It features lots of gathering and an elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes
Color Scheme: Ivory with multicolored accents
Approx Age: quilt topper is probably from the 1940-1950s, handmade recently
Fabric: no tags, but feels like all cotton, there are a couple of feed sack pieces with the decals on the inside, so definitely some feed sack accents
Condition: Very Good wearable condition, no holes noted, the elastic is new and super stretchy, please note there is some light discoloration and spotting that adds to the lovliness of the piece
Waist: stretches 24 inches to 36 inches around
Hips: up to 60 inches around
Total Length: 34.75 inches from top to bottom
