Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Rare 1920s Irish Chain Variant

These pants are made from a vintage Irish Chain Variant Quilt (I haven't seen a pattern like this one so that's what I'm calling this style) .When it was found, lots of tears around the sides, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is a light batting between the two layers, but I would say this a light weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, style, and that it is all hand stitched, I would say this is from the 1920s-1930s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :)

Color Scheme: White and red

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1920s-1930s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, no holes noted, the elastic is new and super stretchy, this has been hand-washed (please note, the lady I purchased this from tried to wash this, but washed on warn so there was a little red color transfer, I have rewashed this, and it did lighten this color transfer, but there is still some <3), there is also maybe a green paint brush stroke on the back

Waist: stretches from 22 inches to 32 inches around

Rise: 14 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 24 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 44 inches around

Thigh: 26 inches around

Total Length: 36 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 16 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
