Handmade High Waist Quilt Shorts- 60s Grandmother's Flower Garden

These pants are made from a vintage lap quilt. When it was found, one entire side as torn almost in half, so why no use the good parts to make shorts :) It has some batting in between the layers, so I would say this is a light  weight quilt. This piece is all hand stitched and judging by the style and fabric, I would say this is from the 1960s-1970s. It is made from a 70s short pattern.

Color Scheme: Ivory with multicolored hexagon accents

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1960s-1970s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its cotton or a cotton blend

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, no holes (they have all been patched) or stains noted, the elastic is new and super stretchy

Waist: stretches 25 inches to 34 inches around

Rise:  11.75 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 7 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 46 inches around

Thigh: 28 inches around

Total Length: 18.25 inches from top to bottom
