Handmade Super High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Rare 1930s Butterfly

These pants are made from a vintage butterfly applique quilt. When it was found, it was covered in tears, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is a light batting between the two layers, so I would say this a light  weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, style, and that it is all hand stitched, I would say this is from the 1930s-1940s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg and elastic waistband to fit a variety of sizes

Color Scheme: Ivory and kind of a darker sage green, with multicolored butterfly accents

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1930s-1940s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted (I have repaired them all and reattached some of the butterflies that were barely handing on) no stains noted

Waist: stretches from 24 inches to 33 inches around

Rise: 14.5 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 24.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 48 inches around

Thigh: 28 inches around

Total Length: 38 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 17.5 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
