Handmade Super High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Rare 1950s Rainbow Tulip

These pants are made from a vintage rainbow tulip quilt. When it was found, it was found there was an entire piece of the center that was missing, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is a no batting between the two layers, so I would say this a very light  weight quilt. Judging by the fabric and style, I would say this is from the 1940s-1950s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes

Color Scheme: White background and butter yellow hem, with an assortment of rainbow tulips with green stems connecting them

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1950s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton, king of soft feed sack feeling

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted, I believe I have repaired then all, no staining to note

Waist: stretches from 25 inches to 35 inches around

Rise: 17 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 26 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 50 inches around

Thigh: 30 inches around

Total Length: 41 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 19 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
