Handmade High Waist Quilt Gaucho Pants-Rare 1970s Gingham Sunbonnet Sue

These pants are made from a vintage Gingham Sunbonnet Sue Quilt. There is a light batting between the two layers, but I would say this a light to medium weight quilt. Judging by the fabric and style I would say this is from the 1960s-1970s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :).

Color Scheme: White and orange, with multicolored Sunbonnet Sue Appliques

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1960s-1970s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its a cotton blend

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes  noted, please note, while this has been hand-washed, there still may be some light areas of discolorations

Waist: stretches from 25 inches to 42 inches around

Rise:   13 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 14.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 52 inches around

Thigh: 33 inches around

Total Length: 28 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width:  18 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
