Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants- 1960s Checkered

These pants are made from a vintage checkered quilt. When it was found, it was covered in holes on one end, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is a batting between the two layers, but I would say this a light to medium weight quilt. Judging by the fabric and style I would say this is from the 1960s-1970s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility.

Color Scheme: red and blue with white, yellow, green and tan flowers

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1960s-1970s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its cotton or a cotton blend, the fabric is kind of stiffer and I believe that is from the inside lining being possibly polyester

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes or stains, this has been hand-washed 

Waist: stretches from 26 inches to 36 inches around

Rise: 14.5 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 23 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 46 inches around

Thigh: 28 inches around

Total Length: 39 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 16 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
