Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants- Ultra Rare 1920s Orchid Embroidered Silk and Flour Sack

These pants are made from an antique/ vintage checkered Silk and Flour Sack quilt with orchid embroidery. There is cotton batting between the two layers, but I would say this a light to medium weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, hand stitching and embroidery, and style, I would say this is from the  1920s-1930s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :)

Color Scheme: Light Pink, White, with multicolored hand done embroidery

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1920s-1930s, I have added this pink and brown lace trim that I would say is from the 1960s-1970s,  handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say the pink is all silk and the white embroidered areas are cotton flour sacks

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes  noted, please note, while this has been hand- washed, there still may some areas of light discolorations

Waist: stretches from 22 inches to 40 inches around

Rise: 14.75 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 19.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 50 inches around

Thigh: 34 inches around

Total Length:  33.5 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 17.5  inches across from side to side measured at the hem
