Handmade High Waist Quilt Shorts- 40s Checkered Southwest

These pants are made from a vintage quilt. I made a pair or pants out of this quilt early this year, and didn't want anything to go to waste, so I used the good parts left to make shorts <3 It has some batting in between the layers, so I would say this is a light  weight quilt. This piece is all hand stitched and judging by the style and fabric, I would say this is from the 1930s-1940s. It is made from a 70s short pattern.

Color Scheme: Ivory, Indigo, Red

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1930s-1940s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its cotton 

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, no holes (they have been aptches), the elastic is new and super stretchy, please note it has some very light discolorations (see photos)

Waist: stretches 24 inches to 28 inches around

Rise: 13 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 5.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 42 inches around

Thigh: 26 inches around

Total Length: 16 inches from top to bottom
