Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants- Ultra Rare 1941 Embroidered Crazy Quilt

These pants are made from a vintage 1941 Embroidered Crazy Quilt, I'm dating her 1941, as I made her sister last week that had the 1941 embroidery on it. I have added a trim to it of pieces from cutting the pattern to give it more of a full leg. I would say this a light weight quilt as it the outer layer set on to an interfacing of vintage feed sacks with no batting. Judging by the fabric and style, I would say this is from the late 1930s to 1941. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :).

Color Scheme: a moody assortment of colors and patterns

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1941, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its mostly a light weight wool, with a few pieces of cotton and silk, the jaguar patch is from this quilt as well, but I moved it to the leg as it wasn't part of my pattern cutting

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted (please note, there is some areas on the wool with moth holes and one silk shattered piece, but not to worry, the feed sack interfacing shines thru those precious areas). Because of the age of this piece I did my special spot treatment and sun soak for cleaning, No stains noted 

Waist: stretches from 24 inches to 42 inches around

Rise:15.25  inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 24 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 58 inches around

Thigh:  37 inches around

Total Length: 37 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width:  21 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
