Handmade High Waist Quilt Shorts - 1986s Friendship

These shorts are made from a vintage lap quilt embroidered in the names of the people who made it. These are made from a 1990s Basketball shorts pattern, and feature a high waist and elastic waistband to fit a variety of sizes. <3 The names hand embroidered on it are Peggy Abbe, Carla Hansens, Hazel Haley, Mary Ann Yancey, Joann Oltmann, and Joyce Kochick, 

Color Scheme: Ivory and White with multicolored accents and embroidery

Approx Age: This quilt is from 1986 (date embroidered under names), handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, no holes,the elastic is new and super stretchy, it has a few areas of discoloration that add to the lovliness of the piece

Waist: stretches 26 inches to 36 inches around

Rise: 14.25 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 6 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 51 inches around

Thigh: 34 inches around

Total Length: 19.25 inches from top to bottom
