Handmade Super High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants- Rare 1963 Hand Painted State Birds

These pants are made from a vintage quilt. There was a piece that I was unable to use due to damage that marked it as made in 1963. When this quilt was found, there were lots of fabric separations, holes, and staining on the side and so why not pants :) There is some light batting between the layers, so I would say this is a light to medium weight quilt.  It is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg and elastic waistband to fit a variety of sizes. The pattern is made of hand painted  state birds, the states in this pant are: Arizona, Georgia, Texas, Indiana, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Virginia, North Carolina, Connecticut, Louisiana, Maine, Vermont, New Jersey, Florida, Washington, North Dakota, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, South Dakota, California, Nevada, Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, and Kansas

Color Scheme: White and pinks with multicolored hand painted accents

Approx Age: Quilt 1963, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, no holes (they've been patched), the elastic is new and super stretchy, please note it has 2 spots on it (see photos)

Waist: stretches 24 inches to 34 inches around

Rise: 15.75 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 25.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 49 inches around

Thigh: 32 inches around

Total Length: 38.5 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width:  19 inches across from side to side, measured at the hem
