Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Rare 1940s Butterfly

These pants are made from a vintage butterfly applique quilt. When it was found, it was torn is several areas, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is a light batting between the two layers, but I would say this a light weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, style, and that it is all hand stitched, I would say this is from the 1940s-1950s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a super wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes

Color Scheme: Lavender and white with multicolored butterfly applique accents

Approx Age: Quilt is probably 1940s-1950s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton, very soft cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes or stains noted 

Waist: stretches from 27 inches to 36 inches around

Rise: 14.5 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 24.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 50 inches around

Thigh: 29 inches around

Total Length: 38 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 18 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
