Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Ultra 1920s Flour Sack Sun Bonnet Sue

These pants are made from an antique/Vintage hand embroidered Sunbonnet Sue quilt. While I’m calling this a quilt palazzo pant, this cut is more trim and fitted than what I usually do, I just couldn’t let her go to the landfill even tho she was a smoller quilt, the cut is more like a sailor pant fit<3 I would say this a medium to heavier weight fabric. Judging by the fabric and style, I would say this is from the 1920s-1930s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :).

Color Scheme: White, pink, green, blue, purple, with multicolored and multi pattern, hand, stitch, sunbonnets, appliqué, and floral bonnet embroidery

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1970-1980s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say it’s all cotton 

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted, please note, while this has been hand-washed, there still may be some areas of light discoloration that add to the lovliness of the piece 

Waist: stretches from 22 inches to 36 inches around

Rise:  14.5 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 22.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 42  inches around

Thigh: 27 inches around

Total Length: 36 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 15.5 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
