Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Ultra Rare 1920s Flour Sack Glorified 9 Block

These pants are made from an antique/vintage glorified 9 patch quilt.  When it was found, it was covered in fabric wear, so why not use the good parts for pants:) There is a light batting between the two layers, but I would say this a light weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, style, and that it is all hand stitched, I would say this is from the 1920s-1930s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :).

Color Scheme: a gorgeous rainbow assortment of colors and fabric patterns and ivory flour sack

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1920s-1930s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all cotton, very soft cotton

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes  noted (I believe I have repaired them all), please note while this has been hand- washed, there still may be a few areas of light discolorations that add to the loveliness of the pieces, also please note, the 9 patch areas were covered in wear, so I repaired and spent about 3 hours running a zig-zag stitch over all the fabric wear to strengthen and preserve the original fabric and I believe I have repaired them all

Waist: stretches from 25 inches to 37 inches around

Rise:  14.5 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 22.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 52 inches around

Thigh: 30 inches around

Total Length: 36 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width:  20 inches across from side to side measured at the hem
