Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Ultra Rare 1920s Silk and Velvet Crazy Quilt

These pants are made from an antique Silk and Velvet Crazy Quilt.  I would say this a light weight quilt. Judging by the fabric, style, and that it is all hand stitched, I would say this is from the 1920s-1930s. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :)

Color Scheme: a beautiful moody rainbow assortment of colors

Approx Age: This quilt was probably made in the 1920s-1930s, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say its all silk and velvet patchwork set onto flour sack fabric with a cotton lining

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted (there are a couple areas where the silk has shattered, but it is set onto flour sack fabric, so it allows the beautiful flour show to show through those areas, They’re still may be some areas that shatter more, and those pieces can just be pulled off or cut off)  please note while this has been hand- washed, there still may be a few areas of light discolorations that add to the loveliness of the pieces

Waist: stretches from 24 inches to 44 inches around

Rise: 15.25 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam: 19 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 50 inches around

Thigh:  34 inches around

Total Length: 33.5 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 18.5  inches across from side to side measured at the hem
