Handmade High Waist Quilt Palazzo Pants-Ultra Rare 1935 Silk Crazy Quilt

These pants are made from a 1935 silk crazy Quilt, I have added a trim to this, from scraps from pattern cutting to give this more of a full leg.  I would say this a medium weight quilt. It is all hand stitched from silk with a silk lining and not on this pant, but the sister pant of this has a little area that is embroidered: March 8, 1935. This pant is made from a vintage palazzo pant pattern and features a wide leg, high waist, and elastic waist band to fit a variety of sizes. It also has inseam pockets for maximum comfort and utility :)

Color Scheme: A rainbow assortment of colors and patterns

Approx Age: This quilt was mare around 1935, handmade recently

Fabric: no tags, but I would say this is all silk, the lining I believe a silk as well

Condition: Very Good wearable condition, the elastic is new and super stretchy, no holes noted, But it does have a few places of silk shattering, but the silk pieces are sew on to feedsacks, so as the silk shatters. which it may still do in a few places,  more of those beautiful feedback pieces will show through. Please note, while this has been hand-washed there still may be some areas of light discolorations that add to the loveliness of the piece

Waist: stretches from 23 inches to 43 inches around

Rise: 15.25 inches from base of crotch to top of pants

Inseam:  24.5 inches from base of crotch to end of pants

Hips: up to 60 inches around

Thigh: 37 inches around

Total Length:  38 inches from top to bottom

Pant Width: 23  inches across from side to side measured at the hem
