Handmade Petticoat Skirt-Ultra Rare 1930s Flour Sack Glorified Churn Dash
Handmade Petticoat Skirt-Ultra Rare 1930s Flour Sack Glorified Churn Dash
This is a new style that I'm going to be offering :) This skirt is inspired by Victorian petticoats that I have ALWAYS been obsessed with :)
This skirt is made from a vintage Glorified Churn Dash quilt Topper (I've actually not seen this style before, but its reminds me of a churn darn with with so much more detailing). As this is a quilt topper with no batting or back piece, I would say this is a very light weight quilt. Judging by the fabric and style, I would say this is from the 1930s-1930s. This skirt is cut in an A-Line pattern and features a full ruffle trim and elastic waistband to fit a variety of sizes.
Color Scheme: Yeellow with multi-colored and multi-patterned accents
Approx Age: This quilt topper was probably made in the 1930s-1940s, handmade recently
Fabric: no tags, but I would say its cotton, and mostly all flour sacks
Condition: Very Good wearable condition, no holes or stains noted, the elastic is new and super stretchy, this has been hand-washed
Waist: stretches from 24 inches to 40 inches around
Hips: up to 52 inches around
Total Length: 33.5 inches from top to bottom
